Biography
For over 43 years – so far – Ray has focused his practice solely on family law – in
domestic relations and juvenile courts throughout Northeast, Central, and Southeast Ohio.
Ray is a litigator and has represented family law clients in 20 Ohio counties. He also
realizes that thorough preparation, attention to detail, and caring about every client and each
client’s goals, is crucial to success – which can also be achieved by effective, strategic planning
and negotiation in many cases.
Ray recognizes that each family law case is unique and focuses on important details as he
counsels each client as to the best ways to reach the maximum result. Each of us desires to
protect that which is most important to us, and Ray works efficiently and diligently toward that
goal.
Ray’s colleagues and past clients describe him as both compassionate to his clients and
aggressive and focused in the courtroom. He returns calls and emails promptly. He counsels
clients to avoid potential pitfalls when a marriage or relationship between parents ends. He has
spoken at many seminars on family law topics and has served as an expert witness in multiple
family law matters.
Ray is a graduate of the College of William and Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law, a
member of the Stark County Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in all Ohio courts and
the United Stated District Court, for the Northern District of Ohio.
After 32 years building his regional law practice with a longtime Northeast Ohio firm,
Ray joined MMFL in May, 2013 and is looking forward to success, on behalf of his clients, with
new challenges throughout the region and the state, in the coming years.
